only difference is, that Palin's accent is really starting to drive me mad, she's even more snarly than Bush

this arrogant  lady needs to be put in a real interview with followups, BBC's Hardtalk style, if you don't know it, think Hardball with balls, probably one of the toughest interviews on the planet

I thought during the debate she might be parodying Tina Fey. This seems to happen a lot with politicians. Its sort of like a trademark. There's no question that Bush has hammed up his texas "accent" over the last 8 years. Yet another similarity.

She reminds of Marge Gunderson in "Fargo", without the humility.

Oh, you betcha', yah!

(At least I saw the movie), and Sarah Palin, you are no Marge Gunderson.

Marge had integrity, evil horrified her, and she was never used her sexuality to try to take over the country!

With the Shrub, I was scared.  I was scared of where the country would be when he left office, but I never had a genuine "shit my pants" moment.  Bush always seemed like the "Slacker" president.  He never seemed to want to go out of his way to fuck us all up.  It was just a bi-product of his own deficiencies.

With Palin, I am genuinely scared.  In last night's debate, she argued FOR expanding the power of the Vice President.  She came out and said point blank that when McCain cacks, she would pursue HER OWN AGENDA.  That last part is what frightens me.  She obviously wants more power.  But for now, she is content to sit back and say, "John's in charge."  But what we don't know, and what we NEED to know, is what is Palin's agenda?  What will she do when McCain's dead and she has all the power?  Because she sure seems to have big plans for this country, but for now we don't know what they are...

The fact that she craves power scares me (and truthfully, most politicians crave power, but she actually came out and said so, making it an issue).  The fact that she has her own "shadow" agenda that no one knows about...  coupled with the fact that she'll have her hand on the nuclear, sorry nuke-u-lar football...  I'm scared shitless at the possibility.

With Bush, you knew he'd screw it up, but in a 30-minute comedy kind of way...  where the parents come home after the kids threw a big party and make everything all right in the end.  With Palin, I'm afraid our lives will turn into an episode of 24, and I'm afraid there won't be a Jack Bauer to save the day.

That's why I'm thinking about creating a fund to help the wolves in Alaska buy shoulder fired anti-aircraft missiles.

the lack of curiosity about the world beyond her (his) own nose, selfish motives, tune out other points of view in favor of self-righteous, hard-headed (and wrong-headed) drive, I could go on and on...
