Palin in 2012? Bitch, please! No, really, please run in 2012, bitch. ;)

Did any of you's watch MTP this weekend? Laura Bush believes in the education of women, apparently. It doesn't end there. Public education for everyone in Afghanistan (if not here at home).

And Ted Turner. What a swell guy.

by hazmat on 12/02/2008 02:20:46 AM EST

I don't have a TV.  What's "MTP" stand for?

But I do watch MTB, aka Meet The Bloggers.

I wonder how the gun nuts are going to blame this one on anti-gun laws.

If only a third douchebag who brought a gun into a toy store were there, then he could have tried to stop it and more bullets could have been flying around.

Luckily, no children were hurt.

Remember, kids, more guns make us safer.

I believe in gun ownership, but there need to be sensible laws covering where you can and can't carry them.

I believe in the right to own firearms as well, but I've never understood some of the absurd arguments made in defense of gun ownership like "guns don't kill people, people do" and "if more of us were packing, people would think twice before committing crimes". These are some of the most baldly fallacious statements a person can utter.

"if more of us were packing, people would think twice before committing crimes"

You're right, Hazmat.  Notice the "us and them" language at play, taking for granted that "good" people will continue to be "good" after arming themselves.  But the fools who really believe that always seem to forget one important detail:  If more of us were packing, then more of us would consider committing crimes.  The easy power that a gun offers a weak person is corrupting like that.

Because I can't get the video for December 1st to load.  Quick!  Help me before I have to start doing actual work!

I still haven't seen yesterday's show!

Have you all seen how nutty the people on Free Republic are? NUTS!

They're really going on about how Obama's not a "Natural Born" citizen and the military doesn't need to follow his orders once he's sworn in because he'll be a "usurper!"

No brains on that forum at all...

by locknkey on 12/03/2008 07:49:22 AM EST

does about 48 stories on Obama's birth certificate a day.  They've all gone off the deep end.

I did read some wacko comments on a republican site after the election and couldn't believe such morons existed in real life.  It's too painful to read that stuff!!  I wish Jesus would hurry up and float them away.

I sort of feel the same about threads on this site written by particular people.  I don't really want my brain polluted so much right now, and by not reading them, I don't get mad at teh stupid, and I don't waste time trying to argue with someone who is just here to stir shit up.

bfaul lately? She was one of my favorite TYT posters, but I haven't seen much activity from her on the forum since the election. Its understandable of course, now that the world is saved and the messiah risen.

by hazmat on 12/03/2008 03:32:12 PM EST

She was last seen in this post.

But, I've said it before and I'll say it again, where the hell is Rich?

After the election, I know my lust for political news has slackened somewhat and I've been spending less time on blogs.  Oh well, there will be a war or something to get us all going again.

S/He is either a raging lesbian, or male, but the likeliest is latter. I said he was one of my favorite posters, so maybe the Karma evens out.

If you're saying that bfaul is a lady, then I'm surprised.

But if you're saying that bfaul is an extremely effiminate male, then I completely agree.

They probably call him the "Old Belle of Lafayette".
